Nearly a year after its initial debut in China, the stretched electric SUV is now available for order in the United States and Puerto Rico, with official deliveries slated to begin between September and October 2026.
Premium 3-Row, 6-Seat Configuration
The standout feature of the new US Model Y Long Wheelbase is its unique six-seat, three-row layout, made possible by a six-inch wheelbase extension. Tesla has packed this variant with premium comfort upgrades across all rows:
- First & Second Rows: Equipped with heated seats and dedicated touchscreen displays. The second row also features powered armrests.
- Third Row: Offers power-reclining seats for enhanced passenger comfort.
- Cargo Space: Despite the extra row, the trunk is designed to fit one 28-inch and one 20-inch suitcase simultaneously, while the front trunk (frunk) accommodates an additional 20-inch bag.
- Convenience: Both the second and third rows feature a one-touch electronic folding mechanism. Passengers also gain access to 50W wireless charging pads or high-speed charging ports, alongside optimized side airbags for safety.

The Model Y Long Wheelbase does not sacrifice performance for size. It delivers an impressive 325 miles of range on a single charge—just two miles shy of the standard non-LWB Premium variant. Furthermore, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
To sweeten the deal, Tesla is bundling lucrative incentives for early buyers:
- 12 Months of Free Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD): A feature that normally costs $99 per month.
- 12 Months of Free Supercharging: Offering complimentary access to Tesla’s massive fast-charging network.

The Tesla Model Y Long Wheelbase starts at a base price of $61,990. This positions it as a premium tier in the lineup, costing roughly $12,000 more than the standard Premium variant and about $22,000 more than the entry-level, base Model Y.
